  1. Home-Style Vegetable Soup

  3. 2 lbs. stew meat
  4. 8 cups water
  5. 9 Beef Bouillon Cubes
  6. 2 bay leaves
  7. 1 can diced tomatoes (28 oz.)
  8. 1 cup carrots (chopped)
  9. 1/2 cup celery (chopped)
  10. 1/2 cup onion (chopped)
  11. 2 cups cabbage (chopped)
  12. 1 1/2 cups potatoes (chopped)
  13. 1/4 tsp. pepper
  14. 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  15. 1/2 cup frozen corn

  17. In large kettle, combine stew meat, water, bouillon cubes
  18. and bay leaves. Bring water to boil; simmer covered for
  19. 1 1/2 hours or until meat is tender. Cool stock; skim fat
  20. from surface. Add tomatoes, carrots, celery, onion, cabbage,
  21. potatoes, pepper and garlic powder; simmer covered for 40
  22. minutes. Add corn; cook an additional 10 minutes. Serve with
  23. warm french bread and crackers.
